TOUR # 2. TWO-DAY TOUR OF WALLACHIA AND TRANSYLVANIA
DURATION: 2 days, one night.

DAY ONE, SATURDAY: Departure from Bucharest to Pitesti on A2 Highway — Ramnicu Valcea. Visit COZIA MONASTERY, 14th century architectural and religious monument, built by prince Mircea the Old as his burial place. (N.B. Prince Mircea was Vlad the Impaler’s grandfather). Coffee Break in Calimanesti – Caciulata Spa Resort… Then we’ll pass through the Olt River Valley and admire the magnificent Gorges. At noon arrival in SIBIU — European Capital of Culture in 2007. Lunch time ! Then SIBIU City Tour for about 2 hours, mainly walking: The Council Tower Bruckenthal Palace / Museum, the Evangelical Church, the Catholic Church, the Passage of Stairs, the Lies’ Bridge. In the evening arrival in BRASOV. Accommodation in a 3*** superior hotel in Brasov. Dinner on your own.
DAY TWO, SUNDAY: After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll go on a walking tour of the medieval city of BRASOV, and stop in the Old Center to enjoy the HORSE-RIDING PARADE OF THE “JUNI” — traditional local parade on the Sunday after Easter. Then we head for BRAN to visit DRACULA’S CASTLE. Lunch time in Bran. We will leave the Transylvanian border and head for Wallachia on the Prahova River Valley. On the way back to Bucharest we’ll visit CANTACUZINO PALACE in BUSTENI (1h)…
